Yes, it is Cody Reed making his MLB debut today.  I hope he continues the encouraging performances of his fellow Johnny Cueto trade parts, Brandon Finnegan and John Lamb.  Three actual lefty prospects in the Reds system is a real novelty. Heres hoping we like the outcome today.

Sure feels like that is the case, but I will try not to be too optimistic about things like having Tony DeSclafani starting instead of Alfredo Simon, and Michael Lorenzon and Raisel Iglesias in the pen instead of anyone not named Wood, Cingrani, or Ohlendorf (I know that those three are nothing to brag about, but with some backup for the rest of the pen duties, I think they will be better than they have been, which has been about average).  The bats have also been coming alive, albeit somew...
