Don't ever forget 1995.
Don't ever forget Chipper Jones' affairs on the road and Tom Glavine's plate that was three feet bigger than anyone else's and how ridiculous Ted Turner was on Family Guy.
Don't forget 9-3 and Brooks Conrad.
Don't forget that stupid chant and the fact that while the Redskins get all the attention, the Braves definitely have a racist mascot and name too.
Don't forget them complaining about GABP the last couple years.
Don't forget them making the Cardinals 8 times bett... [More]

Just the lineups today
28. April 2015 16:19
A day late (to see Cueto) and hopefully not a run short, here are tonight's lineups. Can we hope to see the real Joey Votto again in this game, as well as the May Jay?

I'm attending the game tonight with SonOfDoc, and a few days ago I was pumped when I figured out we would get Cueto in the rotation this evening. As you all know, that's now been scrapped and we get Marquis de Sad instead. From the penthouse to the outhouse.
And to add insult to injury, I just saw tonight's lineup--and guess who's back in the 2-hole? Yep. And before you give me the "Cozart's the hot hand" line, please know that he's 2 for his last 15, similar to most of his teammates.
And yes,... [More]

Do you all remember "Disco Demolition Night" in Chicago? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disco_Demolition_Night
I was living in Chicago at the time and actually drove down to see that game. We didn't go in, however, because the crowds were nuts and we couldn't even get to the ticket booth amidst all the bedlam. It was crazy. And the chant? DISCO SUCKS.
Well that might have been true then, but OUR Disco--Anthony DeSclafani--does NOT suck. Hope he's on his game today.

I'm going to start a new thread in the hope that it helps get this game started. At the moment, they're predicting a 4:35 first pitch for a game that was supposed to start three hours earlier. BJS is in the house and wants to see some baseball, so let's make it happen.
Sunday's lineup (let's try this thing again)

Today's lineup was out already, so i thought I would put up a new starter. Everyone can relax a bit--Joey is back behind Billy and is followed by the Toddfather

Day game to finish off the series and the road trip. A win here could mean a reasonably successful road trip (5-4) while a loss would take some of the luster from the current three game winning streak. Homer takes the mound for the second time this season. Hope the Brewers treat him well.
Looks like Frazier and Pena get the day off.

Everything's going according to plan.
You could be forgiven with thinking that the above is a crazy sentence. After all, why would the Reds have planned a 1-5 start against the Cardinals? Why would they have planned injuries to Mesoraco and Hamilton and Bailey? Why would they have planned Kevin Gregg and Burke Badenhop and Bryan Price's 77 bomb meltdown that topped any level of insanity I've ever shown on Reds October?
Simple: there's a certain formula for the Reds going to the playoffs,... [More]

The last thread was getting pretty long, so I have started a new one with tonight's lineup and nothing else (can't come up with epics like AAT).
Didn't Price also go on a rant with an umpire last weekend? I think that's where this photo is from.
Thanks to Bryan Price, @BrianCostaWSJ brings us the coach/manager curse per second rant list
