One of the two arbitration cases remaining unsettled as of the posting of this discussion is Aroldis Chapman (the other being Todd Frazier).
Aroldis Chapman requested $8.7 million and was offered $6.65 million from the Reds when arbitration figures were exchanged.

The Scherzer deal isn't a good sign for the Reds if they hope to sign Cueto btw. 7 yr $210MM in case you haven't heard.
Scherzer does have a Cy-Young and one more All-Star appearance but both have played 7 seasons in the majors and their total WAR is very close - Scherzer at 24.0 and Cueto at 21.9. Lot's of teams are reaching deals with their Arbitration eligible players. No news on the Reds yet but I believe today is the deadline to trade arbitration numbers so at the least we should have a better idea of what our arb guys will cost this year. Noticed prior thread had timed out, so opened this one with no content.
Less the six weeks from now, pitchers and catchers will be in the Arizona sunshine and we can start putting together our choices for the opening day roster. That day can't come too soon.
