9-29-10 GAME THREAD: Reds VS Astros, WE ARE CENTRAL DIVISION CHAMPS!!!!

by AshlandATeam 29. September 2010 10:49
The Cincinnati Reds Are Your 2010 National League Central Division Champions!!!!! Has it sunk in yet? It really happened! The Reds are division champs and are going to the playoffs. I was born nine years after the title in 19... [More]

09-27-2010 Off Day Thread – Turn out the Lights in St. Louis, the Party is Almost Over

by Ohioredsfan1 27. September 2010 09:38
With the victory yesterday, the Reds clinched at least a tie for the Central Division. The Cards have 7 games left, three against the Pirates and 4 against the Rockies. The Reds have three games against Houston and three against Milwaukee. One Red win or one Cards loss and they can turn out the lights in St. Louis because the party will be in Cincinnati.   So if the Cards lose today, do the Reds let a lot of the bench play the rest of the week to give the regulars a rest or do you just gi... 9-23-10 Off-Day Thread: Putting Some Finishing Thoughts on a Fairy Tale Regular Season

by GeneWV 22. September 2010 23:14
Introduction:  Soon, if not already, we will all be totally engrossed in the playoffs. We will be talking rosters, pitching rotations, moves, non-moves, strategy, bad calls, missed opportunities, good luck, bad luck, and pretty much everything in between.   However, I thought we might all want to reflect a little on the great regular season we have enjoyed, for the first time in a decade. We are, almost at our leisure, waiting for the Central Division title to come back to Cincy. Whi... [More]
